In the early eighties, disturbed by the frequent deaths of several innocent people through consumption of adulterated edible oil, a few like-minded people investigated into the cause of this tragedy and found that the root cause of this tragedy was pilferage and adulteration by unscrupulous and greedy men who indulge in pilferage and adulteration of edible oil. It was established that in most cases this pilferage and adulteration took place during the transportation stage between loading and unloading    points and/or in storage. We realized that the need of the hour was non-duplicable tamper proof seal. This is when the Sunbird Seals & Plastics Pvt. Ltd. was born and introduced pilfer proof plastic seals under the brand name "SUNBIRO". These seals were an immediate success not only with the manufacturers of edible oil but also with the manufacturers of other such pilferable commodities like petrol, diesel, chemicals etc. They proved immensely popular not just in India but also overseas.

Sunbird Seals are manufactured in an ISO certified facility in keeping with international standards. We have been accredited with ISO 9001 certification from American  Quality Assessors (AQA) of USA for our efficiency in Quality Assurance in design, development, production, quality and service. We have also upgraded our Quality standard to ISO 9001:2008 and have obtained CRISIL SME Rating-SME 4.
